Jonathan Frohning PT, DPT, MBA
Jonathan Frohning PT, DPT, MBA
Jon received his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, followed by his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Evansville. Upon graduation, he furthered his education, completing an Orthopedic Residency through Evidence In Motion, and is also an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). He then earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Western Governor’s University.
Jon has a strong passion and desire to promote health and wellness in his patients and the community. A strong background in Manual Therapy, Trigger Point Dry Needling, and Pain Neuroscience Education for management of chronic pain allows for a well-rounded treatment approach. Living in Dieterich, IL, with his wife, Kelly, and three children, Logan, Kendall, and Hadley, Jon enjoys running, golf, and spending time with his family and friends in his free time.

Physical TherapistOriginally from Effingham, IL, Hunter earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of Illinois at Springfield where she was also a member of the softball team. Following a career-ending injury, she discovered a passion for injury prevention and rehabilitation treatment. She then went on to graduate from Belmont University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She also holds a designation as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Hunter is passionate about collaborating with her patients and helping them reach their goals. She seeks to assist patients in feeling confident, strong, and capable. She now resides in Effingham with her husband, Ian. In her spare time she enjoys reading, trying out new recipes, being outside, and spending time with family and friends.

Physical Therapist AssistantMackenzie is a physical therapist assistant here at ProRehab Illinois. She graduated from the Lake Land College PTA program and took her licensure exam in 2023. She has been with ProRehab for over a year now as PRN, and is so excited to now be here full time in Effingham, and also helping out in our Newton and Mattoon locations!
She has always had a passion for helping others, and with physical therapy she loves watching her patients become strong, confident, and functional!
Mackenzie is from Effingham and in her free time you can catch her doing yoga, reading a book, walking her two huskies, or spending time with her fiancé Nate and wedding planning!

Clinic DirectorShelby graduated from Teutopolis High School. Shelby started her college career at Lincoln Land College playing women’s basketball and finished her bachelor’s degree at Eastern Illinois University studying Kinesiology. She went to graduate from Missouri State University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019. Shelby has specialized in treating pelvic floor along with orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related conditions.
Shelby is passionate about finding the ‘why’ behind her patients’ goals. Is it to walk your daughter down the aisle, return to line dancing, jumping on the trampoline with your kids, or returning to the court as an athlete? It helps her figure out the specific treatment plan for YOU!
Shelby enjoys any and all activities, especially if they are in the sun! She resides in Effingham with her husband, Mark, and her dog, Quincy.
