Pediatric Incontinence and Bowel DysfunctionIn Louisville, Evansville & Southern Indiana
We offer pelvic floor physical therapy to the pediatric population with diagnoses ranging from encopresis, enuresis, pain, or constipation.
Physical therapy can be effective in helping a child gain control of a group of muscles and soft tissues called the pelvic floor, which supports the pelvic organs and helps control bowel and bladder function.
With therapists that are uniquely qualified to assess and treat kids, our pediatric pelvic health specialists will assess the child's overall core strength and functional mobility. Our therapists are trained in using a technique called external biofeedback to evaluate pelvic floor muscle control. This is done with either a mirror or computer program as the child engages the pelvic floor muscles.
