Physical Therapist
Linsey James PT, DPT, CLT-UE
Physical TherapistLinsey is a clinician at the ProRehab South Louisville location with a recent transition from Dunn PT with goals to promote pelvic health access to underserved areas. Linsey makes it a personal goal for every patient to feel confident and comfortable expressing their concerns, symptoms, and goals. Pelvic floor diagnoses and symptoms should not be treated as taboo discussion and are just as deserving of treatment, albeit its private nature.
Linsey earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in December 2012 as well as her Bachelor of Health Science in May 2011. The choice to pursue a career in physical therapy stemmed from volleyball-related injuries while playing at both Presentation Academy and Bellarmine University. However, during her studies at Bellarmine, she was introduced to the specialty area of women’s health/pelvic floor rehab and was intrigued to gain additional knowledge regarding her own personal interest in pelvic pain. She participated a women’s health clinical assignment at the University of Michigan as a portion of her clinical externship requirements. In addition, she has completed various certification courses via the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health, Herman & Wallace, and EIM. She has also completed additional certification regarding the treatment and management of upper extremity lymphedema (CLT-UE) via Klose Training in 2014.
Linsey is currently licensed in Kentucky. She maintains memberships with the following organizations: APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.
She works close to home, residing in the south end of Louisville with her husband and high school sweetheart Zach and their sons Paxton & Levi. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with family, play volleyball, shop, and enjoy the up-and-coming restaurants in Kentuckiana.
