Everyone’s lives have been waylaid by Covid-19. Now take that average impact on a person and multiply it by a thousand and you’re probably still nowhere near the disruption endured by local health care workers over the past 11 months.
It’s been a time of upheaval, but also a time of caring and inspiration — especially in one of Greater Louisville’s most important industries — health care.
Our annual Health Care Heroes program always features medical professionals who go above and beyond to care for their patients and staff, but this year really shined a light on the importance of hard work, innovation and compassion during Covid-19.
Again this year, we are honoring area health care professionals in six categories, as well as naming a Lifetime Achievement award winner.
